Our Work
International Language Solutions advances its mission through aligned programs and initiatives operating within a shared literacy-centered framework. Each area of work is designed to strengthen outcomes across early learning, educator development, and family stability while maintaining consistency, quality, and long-term impact.
Our Work in Practice
The 7 Mile Scope Literacy Framework is activated through a set of aligned initiatives and learning environments. Each arm reflects a distinct expression of the framework, designed to meet community needs while maintaining shared standards, instructional coherence, and system-wide alignment.
International Language Academy (ILA)
International Language Academy (ILA) is a literacy-centered infant and toddler program serving children from 6 weeks to 2 years old. ILA emphasizes early communication and language development through intentional routines, sign language, sensory-rich environments, and foundational exposure to letters, numbers, colors, and concepts. Programming is designed to support early brain development while establishing literacy as a natural part of daily interaction from birth.
International Child Care Center (ICCC)
International Child Care Center (ICCC) provides literacy-centered early learning for preschool-aged children, preparing them for kindergarten readiness and long-term academic success. Instruction is aligned to the 7 Mile Scope framework and emphasizes structured literacy, language development, and early numeracy. ICCC serves as a direct delivery site where ILS systems, curriculum, and instructional practices are implemented with fidelity.
Read by 4 Detroit
Read by 4 Detroit is a community literacy initiative expanding access to early learning experiences beyond the classroom. Through family engagement, partnerships, and public-facing programming, the initiative supports caregivers in understanding their role in early literacy development. Read by 4 Detroit represents ILS’s commitment to strengthening literacy at the community level and reducing gaps before children enter formal schooling.
ILS Educator Pathways
ILS Educator Pathways strengthens the early childhood workforce through intentional preparation, credentialing support, and professional advancement aligned to ILS’s literacy framework. The program provides coaching, training, and structured pathways toward credentials such as the Child Development Associate (CDA), ensuring educators are prepared to deliver high-quality, language-rich instruction. Educator Pathways is designed to stabilize the workforce, strengthen instructional practice, and support consistency and quality across early learning settings aligned to the ILS framework.
Milagro Training Center
Milagro Training Center is the nonprofit access and scholarship arm of International Language Solutions. The center expands educational opportunity for educators, families, and community members through scholarships, training support, and literacy-centered initiatives. Milagro exists to remove financial and systemic barriers to participation, ensuring that ILS programs and pathways are accessible to those who need them most.
